We did it..

From the depths of a Central Otago winter it seems a bit hard to believe that just a few months ago we were racing in the African sun.

In March 2010 we took on the 8 day, 722km Absa Cape Epic Mountain bike stage race, racing against 600 other teams including UCI professionals and came home with a creditable 4th in Masters Class and 41st overall.

The event was huge and the organisation impressive, so if you dream of competing overseas..... stop dreaming and go do it. 

It could be a once in a lifetime experience, but hopefully not...............

The begining

We entered, whoops we got an entry.. now we are training, lets hope we can make the grade and save enough pennies for the trip....

Hi, we are two vet riders chasing maybe a "dream", but everyone we spoke to that has done the event already has said it is a "once in a lifetime opportunity".. hopefully not, may be we can go twice,,
